Orange

In Loukissa of Latzoi, on land that holds its own memory, one of the oldest surviving Fileri clones — an airythrópi (red) variety with deep roots in the Greek vineyard — yields a singular fruit each year. This wine does not chase uniformity. It asks for time and attention.

Fermented and matured in Cretan clay pitharia — vessels that breathe, that carry memory, that give the wine what no stainless steel tank ever could: character. The result is an orange wine of deep amber-gold with luminous reflections that reveal themselves the moment the glass meets the light.

On the nose, spice-forward aromas with a bold presence of pepper, dried fruit, and something earthy and archaic. On the palate, a texture that calls to mind stone shaped by water — complete, with no effort to impress.

No chemicals, sulfur, or copper are used in the vineyard. Winemaking proceeds without pumps, filters, or additives. What is in your glass is exactly what the land gave.
