Fileri
Fileri is an intriguing pink-skinned grape variety from the Peloponnese, belonging to the same broader family as the famous Moschofilero. Despite its dark, rosy skin, winemakers primarily use it to produce crisp white and elegant rosé (blush) wines rather than robust reds.
Compared to its highly aromatic cousin Moschofilero, Fileri offers a slightly more subdued and delicate profile. The wines it produces are characterized by subtle floral aromas, light and refreshing acidity, and a very elegant, easy-drinking nature that makes them perfect companions for light Mediterranean dishes.
